Deletion happens immediately — there is no waiting period, and no account reinstallation is required to request it (you only need to be able to sign in once to reach the Settings menu).
Delete everything. Your profile, posts, comments, group memberships, favorites, bookmarks, notifications, service provider listing (if any), and every file you've uploaded (avatar, post images, verification documents) are permanently removed. Your login is also deleted, so you can no longer sign in with that account.
Keep my content, remove my name. Your profile and login are deleted the same way, but your posts and comments stay visible to the community with your name replaced by "Deleted User." This exists so a discussion you contributed to isn't erased for everyone else just because you're leaving. Your avatar and any identity-linked files are still removed either way.
You don't have to delete your whole account to remove specific things. From inside the app, while signed in:
Some data may be retained beyond deletion where required for legal or compliance purposes (for example, records needed to comply with tax or accounting law). Everything else described above is removed at the time of your request — there is no additional retention period beyond that.
