Greencarders is operated by Evta Development LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our App.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide:
Email address and username
Profile photo and full name (optional)
Bio, country of origin, current country (optional)
Service provider listing information (if applicable)
If you request listing verification: a government-issued ID, a selfie taken for verification purposes, and (for business listings) formation documents, tax ID, and business contact information. The uploaded files are deleted automatically one day after your request is approved or rejected, and they are excluded from our backups, so no copy of them survives that deletion. The details you typed into the verification form, and the decision itself, are kept as the record of the review.
Information generated by your use:
Posts, comments, and group content you create
Favorites, bookmarks, and group memberships
Reports and feedback you submit
Purchase and subscription history
A push notification token for each device you sign in on
The approximate time you were last active, unless you turn off Show Online Status
Device and diagnostic data: device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, performance timings, and a device advertising identifier used for our own analytics
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
Create and manage your account
Provide and improve our services
Enable community features and groups
Send account-related notifications
Respond to your requests and support needs
Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and tampering with the App
Enforce our Terms of Service and Community Rules
Comply with legal obligations
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, our legal bases for processing are: performing our contract with you, which covers your account and the features you use; our legitimate interests in keeping the service safe, preventing abuse, and understanding how the App is used; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent where consent is required, such as for push notifications.
4. How We Share Your Information
Public information: your username, profile photo, posts, comments, and group activity are visible to other signed-in users of the App. As of September 2026 this content cannot be read without an account. Content in a private group is visible only to members of that group.
We use the following third-party providers to operate the App. Each processes data on our behalf, under its own privacy policy:
Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage
Google Firebase: push notifications, crash reporting, usage analytics, performance monitoring, and app integrity checks
RevenueCat: subscription and purchase records
Apple and Google: payment processing for in-app purchases, and sign-in if you choose those options
Resend: sending account emails such as address verification and password resets
Talsec (freeRASP): device integrity and tampering signals used to protect the App
An encrypted off-site backup service: storage of our database and file backups, which are encrypted before they leave our systems
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We do not allow advertisers to target users on our platform.
We may disclose your information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Our servers and our backups are located in the United States. If you use the App from elsewhere, including from the European Union, your information is transferred to and stored in the United States.
5. Marketplace Data
If you engage with service providers through our Marketplace:
Contact information shared with providers is subject to their privacy policies
We are not responsible for how service providers handle your data
Service provider listings are subject to our Service Provider Agreement
6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active.
You may delete your account at any time, from Settings in the App or at greencarders.com/delete-account.
If you choose to keep your content when closing your account, that content remains on the platform shown as "Deleted User" instead of your name.
Deleting your account removes it from the live service straight away. Copies can remain in our encrypted backups until those backups expire on their own schedule, which is about ninety days, after which they are overwritten. We do not restore a deleted account from a backup.
Some data is retained to meet legal obligations. In particular, if we report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, United States law requires us to preserve the related content and account records for ninety days, and for longer if law enforcement asks us to.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your account and data
Keep your content on the platform under "Deleted User" instead of full deletion
Request a copy of your data by writing to [email protected], which we prepare manually and send within thirty days
Opt out of non-essential notifications
8. GDPR Rights (EU and UK Users)
If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have:
Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
Right to data portability
Right to object to processing
Right to restrict processing
Right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
Right to complain to your local data protection authority
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion or correction of that information, and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
10. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware of such collection, we will delete the information promptly. Our child safety standards, including how we handle and report child sexual abuse material, are published at greencarders.com/child-safety.
11. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, encrypted storage at rest, database access rules that isolate each account's data, and backups that are encrypted before they leave our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
12. Analytics and Tracking
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the App is used. This may include a device advertising identifier, collected for our own analytics only. We do not share that identifier with third-party advertisers and we do not use it for ad targeting. You can reset or limit this identifier in your device settings.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the App, and the date at the top of this policy will change.
